Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International, Inc. (ATL), a growing government contractor, is seeking an Inorganic Chemist for the 222-S Laboratory, a DOE laboratory specializing in the analysis of highly radioactive samples. The work location is in the 200W Area of the Hanford Site in Richland, Washington.
Responsibilities
Interface with union represented personnel, chemists, engineers and public
Review analytical data and prepare project reports
Coordinate analyses of customer samples, including monitoring of quality requirements
Prepare, test, and maintain analytical equipment and procedures
Ensure the compliance of the work area and assigned methods to policy and procedural requirements
Oversee analytical activities of chemical technologists
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a BS in Chemistry or related science
5-10 years related experience
Knowledgeable of wet chemistry, inorganic analytical methods
Able to qualify as radiological worker
Preferred Qualifications:
Significant instrument operation and maintenance experience on common equipment such as IC, ICP, ICP/MS
A proven track record of leading a team of analysts in meeting data quality objectives and project time commitments
A commitment to analytical excellence and unwavering ethics
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment
Knowledgeable about Microsoft Office programs (particularly Word and Excel)
