This position involves researching, retrieving, and interpreting information about OSHA regulations and explaining that information clearly on the phone and in writing. The successful candidate will work with a team of safety and health professionals dedicated to providing quality technical assistance on OSHA policy and procedures and will participate in developing OSHA compliance guidance materials such as safety and health information bulletins and publications. Field inspection skills are a plus, although the opportunity for field work in this position is limited.
Requirements:
At least a Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, safety, environmental health, or related field
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Good analytical abilities
Strong interest in the safety and health field
Desired Qualifications:
Spanish Language Skills are especially desirable for this position.
Experience in applying occupational health and safety regulations
Experience inspecting or surveying workplaces, processes, and systems to identify potential health and safety hazards
Experience writing health and safety policy manuals and guidance documents
