222-S Laboratory Quality, Environment, Safety, and Health

ATL’s Quality Assurance program complies with stringent regulatory and customer requirements, including NQA-1 2000, while assuring the safe and effective management of hazardous and radioactive samples. Analyses comply with Hanford’s analytical quality standard, the Analytical Services Quality Assurance Requirements Document (HASQARD), as well as SW-846 methodology and related standards.

ATL’s 222-S Laboratory has been recommended by DOE as a Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star Site. VPP promotes enhanced safety and health effectiveness through strong employee involvement.

ATL has successfully implemented an Integrated Safety Management System and an approved worker safety and health program based on 10 CFR 851 requirements.
