  • OSHA compliance audits: safety and industrial hygiene
  • Workplace hazard assessments
  • Hazard control and abatement
  • Written safety and health program evaluation and development
  • Comprehensive hazardous waste site safety and health services
  • Policy analysis and development
  • Safety and health training development and delivery
  • Construction site audits and related services
  • Guidance and technical document preparation
  • Performance Assessments

ATL conducts onsite industrial hygiene evaluations. In addition, we analyze workplace contaminant samples at our laboratory and prepare reports summarizing our evaluation results and recommendations for control strategies. Our industrial hygiene services include the following:

Industrial Hygiene Assessments
ATL's assessments involve one or more industrial hygienists who provide onsite consulting services. Assessments include a briefing with our client's contact person, a walk-through site inspection, and if applicable, interviews with employees. Employee exposure assessments may involve real-time measurement of chemical and physical agents using direct-reading instruments as well as full-shift and task-specific personal exposure sampling. Samples are analyzed in ATL's laboratory, which is accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). Based on analytical results and the investigators' observations and interviews with the personnel, ATL may develop specific recommendations for exposure control strategies and operating procedures.

Laboratory Ventilation
ATL can provide a wide range of services related to laboratory ventilation: from assessing the operating performance of chemical fume hoods to conducting comprehensive ventilation assessments of entire facilities.

Program Preparation and/or Review
ATL has helped hundreds of clients develop or maintain industrial hygiene programs that comply with Federal, State, and local regulations. Over the years, ATL has developed hazard communication programs and accompanying material safety data sheets (MSDSs). We have also developed a variety of employee training programs including respiratory protection, confined space entry, and hearing conservation.

OSHA Compliance
ATL conducts periodic assessments of existing industrial hygiene programs, procedures, and practices for compliance with OSHA standards. To assess compliance, our staff reviews and evaluates a client's written procedures, policies, and programs, and verifies that the programs are functioning efficiently throughout the facility.
