GAITHERSBURG, MARYLAND- Advanced Technologies & Laboratories International, Inc. (ATL), a radiological facility renovation & construction support company, is proud to announce that it has been awarded a contract by Hensel Phelps Construction to assist with demolition of a building at the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST). This significant project is part of the ongoing renovation of the Radiation Physics Laboratory at the Gaithersburg campus.
The NIST campus has a unique and complex scientific facility that has provided continuous service for over 50 years. It is undergoing a multi-year renovation project aimed at modernizing and restoring the existing structure. ATL's role in the project is to provide hazardous material assessment, and radiation safety services during the demolition process.
